The children enjoyed hearing fairy tales and fables from around the world during our Knowledge lessons. We are talking about the characters and settings of each tale as we learn about the story events.
After reading a beautiful picture book version of Red Riding Hood, the children drew pictures of the beginning, middle, and end of the tale and also made a set of puppets we can use to retell the story.
In Eureka math, we have been learning about the properties of addition and how to solve for a missing addend in a math equation.
This week we will begin our 2nd Unit of Skills literacy learning as we explore silent "e" and long vowels. The children will have a new decodable book of stories to read.
